Product Designer
We know it, you know it. Most companies ramble on about purpose and making the world a better place. And pretty often it feels a bit… well, forced. But we’d like to think that our story is special for real. Hear us out. The story of Nextory began in Syria, where our founders grew up. When they were children, they witnessed how the dictatorship limited the access to books, and saw what it did to their country. So when Shadi and Ninos came to Sweden, they made it their mission to make books available to everyone.
Fast forward a few years, and Nextory was born. We offer a monthly subscription where our users can read and listen to as many books as they like. Sounds like a pretty cool product to work with, right? We think so too.
Who we are looking for
We're looking for a Product Designer who’s passionate about solving real user problems.
In this role, you’ll lead the design process in one of our app teams Spark - from exploring user needs to testing ideas and refining the final experience. You’ll work in a cross-functional team to design solutions that help users get the most out of Nextory - and support our business goals along the way.
You thrive in a collaborative setting, value research and data in your decision-making, and enjoy connecting the dots between user experience and product outcomes.
What you will be doing
⚫️ Drive the design process end-to-end: from discovery and research to testing and final delivery.
⚫️ Make an impact: Team Spark contributes directly to metrics like activation, retention, and content discovery in our iOS and Android apps.
⚫️ Solve problems: conduct user research, gather insights, and turn them into actionable improvements.
⚫️ Collaborate with your team: work side-by-side with developers, PMs, and others to create the best possible experience.
⚫️ Elevate the craft: help evolve our design system and foster a culture of continuous UX improvement.
⚫️ Stay curious: bring ideas, test assumptions, and help us innovate with confidence.
What we are looking for
⚫️ +5 years of experience in turning user and business needs into valuable solutions.
⚫️ Strong UX and interaction design skills, with a portfolio that shows how your work made a difference
⚫️ Experience working with continuous discovery - mapping user needs, ideating solutions and prototype testing.
⚫️ Solid knowledge of design tools like Figma.
⚫️ Great communication and collaboration skills.
⚫️ Fluent in English.
What else? If you love expressing yourself through gifs in Slack, like to get geeky about icons, or have a passion for kebab, you’ll fit right into our design team.
Think we’re a match? Then we can’t wait to hear from you! Prep a few cases from your portfolio that you think would be convincing for this position, and send them over.
Cheers!
