As Interim Head of Brand & PR, you’ll own Nextory’s global narrative. Driving strategy, storytelling and reputation across every market.
You know that bit where every company says they’re “changing the world”? Yeah, it can feel a little forced. But we like to think our story actually has some realness to it.
Our story begins with Shadi Bitar and Ninos Malki, who came to Sweden from Syria as kids and discovered that books could be a bridge - helping them learn the language, understand the culture, and explore new worlds.
A thought emerged, what if everyone could have that? And just like that, Nextory was born - your all-access pass to read, listen, and discover new perspectives without limits.
And now, we're on a quest to find an Interim Head of Brand & PR, someone as passionate as we are about making the world a happier place and enriching lives through the world of reading.
Chapter One: The role 📖
The Head of Brand & PR leads and manages all brand, communications and public relations activities at Nextory. You will play a key role in building and protecting the company’s reputation through authentic storytelling, media relations and strategic brand management.
Some of your main responsibilities will include
- Drive Nextory’s overall brand and communication strategy, ensuring a consistent and impactful presence across all markets and channels.
- Lead and coordinate the global marketing plan
- Oversee PR activities to strengthen and protect our brand reputation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with relevant Nextory teams.
You’ll lead our marketing team, our very own in-house brand agency, empowering them to create bold, high-quality brand work that inspires across every channel.
The main character we’re looking for 👀
We believe you’re an experienced and inspiring brand leader with a background in creative strategy and communication. You combine creative intuition with strategic thinking and thrive in a dynamic environment where ideas move fast. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Swedish and English. We believe you have:
- At least 5 years of experience leading creative projects and integrated campaigns across multiple channels, within agencies or in-house marketing teams.
- Proven leadership experience
- Strong strategic understanding of media planning, budgeting, and brand consistency, with hands-on experience from media productions.

We are based in Stockholm, Sweden, with offices in Paris and Bangalore. Our hybrid work policy includes four days in the office and Wednesdays as a work-from-home day.
