AI savvy iOS Developer
Do you believe that the future of software engineering is more about authoring intent than writing lines of code? We do!
You know that bit where every company says they’re “changing the world”? Yeah, it can feel a little forced. But we like to think our story actually has some realness to it.
Our story begins with Shadi Bitar and Ninos Malki, who came to Sweden from Syria as kids and discovered that books could be a bridge - helping them learn the language, understand the culture, and explore new worlds.
A thought emerged, what if everyone could have that? And just like that, Nextory was born - your all-access pass to read, listen, and discover new perspectives without limits.
And now, we’re searching for a AI-savvy iOS Developer who’s ready to bring stories to life in every user’s pocket.
Let us tell you about the role 📖
As a iOS Developer at Nextory, you’ll not only design, build, and refine our iOS app. You’ll help shape how we leverage AI and agentic ways of working to create smarter, more adaptive user experiences. We believe that the future of software engineering is more about authoring intent than writing lines of code.
In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with designers, product managers and fellow developers to make every interaction feel personalized and inspiring. You’ll explore how autonomous systems and human creativity can combine to redefine how stories are discovered, shared and enjoyed.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Building and enhancing the iOS app’s core experiences
Owning and evolving key app features, leveraging AI tools and agentic workflows to accelerate development and decision-making
Collaborating across teams to understand user needs to deliver elegant and scalable solutions
Contributing to a modern development culture where AI agents do the coding and testing, while you focus on experimentation and insights
The main character we’re looking for 👀
We believe you are a curious and dedicated iOS Developer who thrives on creating smooth, high-quality mobile experiences. You take pride in creating seamless, high-quality mobile experiences and you’re just as comfortable collaborating with humans as you are working alongside AI-powered tools, agents and workflows.
Furthermore, we believe you have:
Experience working as an iOS Developer
Knowledge of Swift and SwiftUI
Experience working with Combine and daily use of Core Data
A proactive approach to AI-first and agentic ways of working, using autonomous tools to continuously build, test, and improve products
The Nextory way of working 🏠
At Nextory, we believe a strong and inclusive culture is key to our success - and that culture flourishes when we meet and collaborate in person as much as possible. That’s why we spend the majority of the working time at our beautiful office!
We are based in Stockholm, Sweden, with offices in Paris and Bangalore. Our hybrid work policy includes four days in the office and Wednesdays as a work-from-home day.
Your next story starts here 💫
We look forward to receiving your application. If you have any questions about the role, feel free to contact erika.thorslund@nextory.com
Please note that we do not offer relocation and that a six-month probationary period applies.
