Platform Engineer
You know that bit where every company says they’re “changing the world”? Yeah, it can feel a little forced. But we like to think our story actually has some realness to it.
Our story begins with Shadi Bitar and Ninos Malki, who came to Sweden from Syria as kids and discovered that books could be a bridge - helping them learn the language, understand the culture, and explore new worlds.
A thought emerged, what if everyone could have that? And just like that, Nextory was born - your all-access pass to read, listen, and discover new perspectives without limits.
And now, we're on a quest to find a Platform Engineer.
Let us tell you about the role 📖
In this role, you will design, build, and evolve our platform services and shared infrastructure using Java and Spring Boot. You will work hands-on with Google Cloud Platform and Infrastructure as Code to create scalable, secure, and reproducible environments. A key part of your mission is to enable product teams through strong CI/CD practices, solid observability, and a great developer experience, while continuously exploring how AI-driven tooling can improve productivity and platform quality.
Some examples of what you might be spending your time on:
Designing, building, and maintaining platform services and shared infrastructure
Developing and managing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
Working hands-on with Google Cloud Platform, including Compute Engine, GKE, IAM, and VPC
Building, maintaining, and improving CI/CD pipelines, primarily using GitLab CI
Strengthening reliability, observability, and security through monitoring, logging, and cloud best practices
This role is located at our office in Bangalore.

Furthermore, we believe you have:
At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience

Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines
Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and security fundamentals
